   William Francis Berry was born Oct 25, 1866 in Boone County, Missorui, the son of Lewis Gardner Berry and Elizabeth Ann Depart Berry.  Mr. Berry married Sena Harms on Dec 31, 1907.  Of this union 3 children were born: Helen Thalia, who died in infancy; Mrs Berneice E. Handley, a teacher, and Will F. Berry Jr. of Versailles MO, assistant attorney general Mo.
   Survivors are his wife; 2 children; a sister:Mrs Shelton Riggs of Hallsville MO; 3 neices:Iris Berry of Calif., Mrs. Ruth King and Nrs. Nettie James of Kansas City Mo; 3 nephews: James Watson Gooding, St. Joseph Mo, Harry F. Hulen of Columbia Mo., Amos Berry Hulen of New Haven Conn.; 3 grandchildren: Cynthia Berry Handley, Diane Berry and William Francis Berry III.
   He was a democrat, member of the board of Aldermen of the city of Versailles, member of the democratic cemtral committee and delagate to the state conventions.  At the time of his death he was one of the oldest living students of the University of Missouri, having attended from 1882-1886.  Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Versailles on Oct 9, 1951 with Alex Best officiating. Internment was in the Versailles cemetery. Pallbearers: M.D. Marriott, royce Moser, P.J.
