Mrs. Myrtle Caywood Baker, 81, died at
a hospital in Pisma Beach California on November 10, 1979. She was
born in Morgan county on October 16, 1898, daughter of George and Amanda
Thompson Caywood. She left Versailles in 1925 to make her home in
California. She had worked in the Morgan County Courthouse, at Witten
Store and Thurston's Drug Store while she lived here. She was
married to Ivy Hudson in 1926. He died in 1952. She later married
Sam Baker, who died in 1965. She was a Presbyterian and a member
of Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a step-son: Leonard
Baker of Bakersfield California; 3 sisters: Mrs. Etta Stidham of Santa
Anna California, Mrs. Wilda Adams of Bellflower California and Mrs. Gussie
Meyer of Versailles
Funeral was held in California with burial at Loma Vista
Memorial Gardens at Fullerton California.
