Allen, Charles Elnathan 
    Charles Allen died August 11, ____, he was born near Wyanet, Illinois November 16, 1881, the second son of Chester and Malinda Styles Allen.  He was a telegraph operator and worked at The Chicago Board of Trade, The Panama Canal. and for several railroads. He was an agent for Rock Island.  He married Miss Mable Crosset of Wyanet, Illinois on June 19, 1907.  To this union 3 children were born, Marion of Kansas City,. Gilbert Crosset Allen of Great Falls Montana and Charles Gordon Allen of Versailles.  His wife passed away September 1919.  He married Miss Rosina Curtis on October 19, 1924.  He is survived by his widow: Rosina; children: Marion, Gilbert and Gordon; his grandchildren: Charles Douglas Allen and Phyllis Ann Allen; a sister: Mrs. Ruth Kirchner of Mendota Illinois.
   The funeral was handled by Kidwell Funeral Home at the Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Ray Edwards officiating. . Music: Church choir, piano: Mrs. Walter Franse; violin selection : Mrs. G. Loganmarr, accompanied by her daughter Martha     on the piano.  Pallbearers were: Alvin Bauer, Harold Knoop, Ben L. Pickard, O.C. Roark, E.E. Archer, Paul Arnhold, A.J. LeFever, Clyde A. Henderson and W.A. Dromgold. Interment at Wyanet, Illinois
