OBIT:
    Guido Clinton Hibdon, 63, of Gravois Mills passed away Wednesday November 27, 1968.  He was born in Crawford county on June 27, 1905, son of the late Johnnie and Ross Bond Hibdon.  He was married to Miss Mamie Rose McKinley on January 6, 1926.  She survives at the home.  Also surviving are 3 sons: Gail Hibdon of Gravois Mills, Guido Hibdon Jr. of Stover and Teen Hibdon of Sunrise Beach; 2 sisters: Mrs. Ethel Terry of Clinton and Mrs. Janie Bechtel of Boonville; 9 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son: John Clinton Hibdon on October 2, 1948.
    Funeral services held at Kidwell Funeral Home with the Rev. P.H. Wilbanks officiating.  Pallbearers: Harold Daye, Larry & Donald Terry, Ernest Hibdon and Steve Bennett.  Interment at the Silvey cemetery near Gravois Mills.  Hymns: Rev. Edward Winchell; Organ: Mrs. William Bauer.

Mamie McKinley was born January 17, 1907 and died July 28, 1985.  Mamie Rose McKinley was the daughter of George Robinson and Mary Alice (Breckenridge) McKinley.

NOTE:Ernesteen Hibdon, son of Guido Hibdon is buried in the Versailles cemetery, Versailles, Morgan county, MO.

  

OBIT:
    Gail F. Hibdon, 54, Route P Gravois Mills died Monday October 27, 1980 at Harry S. Truman Verterans Hospital in Columbia.  He was born at Gravois Mills on may 21, 1926, son of the late Guido and Mamie McKinley Hibdon.  He spent his entire life in the Gravois community, where he was a professional fishing guide.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW Post #5902 of Gravois Mills.  He leaves his wife Winifred (Winnie) of the home, 1 son: John Hibdon of Versailles, 1 step-son: Steve Bennett of Versailles; 3 daughters: Mrs. Rebecca Vaughn & Sarah Hibdon of Versailles and Diane Hibdon of Miami Florida; his mother: Mrs. Mamie Hibdon of Versailles; 1 brother, Guido Hibdon Jr. of Versailles; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by two brothers: Earnesteen and John Clinton Hibdon.
    Services were held at Scrivener Funeral Home with the Rev. R. H. Wilbanks officiating.  Merrill Womack sang.  Palllbearers were: Tom Young, Raymond Bauermeister, Janc Reinke, Bud Limpus, William LaFayette and Glen Walker.  Interment with military graveside rites by VFW Post 5902 of Gravois Mills in Silvey cemtery near Gravois Mills.

NOTES:
Gail was born at home by the river, near Gravois Mills, Missouri.
He was a hunting and fishing guide on the Lake of the Ozarks.
He was in the Army, Korean conflict combat, gunner on tank.  Member VFW
Post 5902, Gravois Mills, Missouri.
 

FROM NEWSPAPER:
Jewell Tombs, driver, Miss Rosetta Adams and John Clinton Hibdon were fatally injured and Mary Helen Breen is in critical condition in a Boonville Hospital as the result of an auto crash at the Haw Creek Bridge west of Stover, Saturday nite, Oct.2, 1948.
NOTES:
As you enter the cemetery, Rosetta is buried in the far left corner, next to her parents; John Clinton Hibdon is buried in the near right corner, near his parents and brother.  Jewell Tombs is buried in the Versailles cemetery.

Jennie was born December 26,1881 and died May 12, 1956.

    Jennie Josephine Hibdon was born in Morgan county, MO December 26, 1881 the daughter of Charlie and Martha Forester Silvey, and died May 12, 1956 at her home. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Pernia Hibdon; her parents; 2 brothers, Marion and Willie Silvey and one sister, Mrs. Linnie Coffman. She is survived by her husband, Cornie Hibdon; 2 sons, Charles Gilbert and Lloyd Monroe; 1 daughter, Mrs Edna Ivy Coontz; 2 sisters, Mis Oscar (Maggie) Morris and Mrs. Gracie Hill of Quincey, IL.; a grandson, Darrell Hibdon, who was reared in the home. 7 grandchildren.  Fuenral at Gravois BaptistChurch May 14, 1956. Rev Leonard Webb officiating. Burial
in Silvey cemetery. Services handled by Kidwell's of Versailles.

Cornie Monroe Hibdon is buried at the Silvey cemetery also, but I could not find a stone.
 

Stone shows much wear from weather.  P.A. Hibdon was the daughter of Cornie Monroe & Jennie Josephine (Silvey) Hibdon
