I'm having trouble getting past the grandparents in my family tree.
My grandmother - Annie Lee Isom married Roy Amon Shelton and they lived
in shelby County TN until their deaths. His in 1981 and hers in 1994. I
believe her dad was Thomas Neal Isome born 2/12/1895 and died 4/20/1961.
Buried close to him was Ida Arrwood (Arrowood) Isome 2/11/1895 to 5/18/1952
( I believe to be Thomas's husband). and then there were these two folks
and I don't know who they could be Benjamin Franklin Isom 1894 to 3/13/1939
and Cammie V. Isom 1895 to 1982. They are all bured in Macedonia Methodist
Church cemetary in Arlington TN . Of course I would love to hear that you
know who these folks are, but if you don't, I hope it helps with your research..Roxanne

I research Everage / Everidge's. Solomon Everidge b. 1792 md
Catherine Ison b.1806. Their first child, Gideon born around 1825. I was
wondering if you had info on her. She later deeds her rightof dower from
George Ison land grant to AJ Godsey in Letcher Co KY via her son Gideon
Everidge and husband Solomon Everidge(this all occurs in late 1840's to
1851). I am collecting data on this Everidge family that moved from Letcher
Co KY to Carter Co KY. Any help on Catherine's family appreciated. I cant
find Solomon Everidge on the 1820 KY Census, nor can I fond their marriage.
Any insight on this will be helpful. Thanks, Jim Cornett (jimmy.b.cornett@MCIONE.com)

My great-great-grandfather was Emmanuel Isom, who lived in
Athens, Alabama, and donated land and money for the Methodist Church. He
was descended from Gideon Isom, who was said to be a lord in the British
Parliament. I am trying to get some more information about Gideon Isom,
in order to verify some information. If anyone has any information, I would
appreciate a response. Thanks!

My Ursula Isham married Benjamin Stinnett in
Virginia in 1763. I don't have her birth date but Benjamin was born
in 1736. I
don't know yet who her parents were but her brother (I guess it's her
brother)
married Dorcas Stinnett. His name was John and I read somewhere that
the
Stinnett's lived next to the Ishams.

ISOM, or ISON, I've see it both ways, is a side-line to my HIX / HICKS
and TAYLOR lines in Garrard Co. KY. Below I've pasted on two ISON's, who
I presume are related. Those are the only two I have in my computer database,
but I know I've seen more ISON's during my research on the HIX in Garrard
Co. KY.... perhaps in census, etc... perhaps I have more on paper somewhere!
I was hoping to find someone
who was connected to ISOM / ISON's in case they had any HIX / HICK or TAYLOR
info also..... but I would be happy to know more about the ISON's I've
pasted on, and would like to hear about your ISOM line.
Thanks,
Tom Green

I don't know much about my earlier Isom lines. The earliest Isom I
have
is William Isom who was living in McMinn Co. TN in 1830. He was married
to Sarah last name unkown now. Their son was Bolin Isom that married
Mary
Gilbert in Cherokee Co. AL. They later moved to Texas in the early
1870s.
>From the 1830 through the 1870 census they were listed as ISHAM. William
Isom had children, Mary, Bolin, Armemta, Allen, Juda, Elizabeth, Charles
and Carroll. I have descendents of Bolin and Mary (Gilbert) Isom, but
nothing on the others except Armenta.

I'm afraid ISOM is one of my biggest dead ends. My
great grandmother was
Adeline ISOM. Addie was born about May 1853 probably in Missouri.
Her
first husband was Joseph "Barney" Barnes. She married Barney May 6,
1881 in
Mississippi, Missouri. They had two daughters: Annie b: 1877
and Maggie b:
1886.
She then married my great grandfather Samuel P. NORWOOD about 1887
probably
in Missouri. They had four children: Emma b: 1889 in MO; Ruth
b: 1891 in
Arkansas; Robert b: 1895 in AR and my grandmother, Littie Ann NORWOOD,
b:
1899 in Arkansas.
We were told Addie was Cherokee and remembering the picture my grandmother
had, she looked to be full-blood--but I don't know that.

I keep trying to find someone who is related to my ISOM family. all
I really know is Annie Isom, a widow, married my gr gr grandfather Isaac
Parker in Hardeman Co TN in 18 Nov 1827.Her daughter Elizabeth Isom married
Isaacs son Giles Parker Sr in Oct 1828.
Also there was a Benjamin Parker who married Tempie Isom in Hardeman
about the
same time. I don't know who they are. Elizabeth was born
in SC. I looked in
1790,1800 census in SC and found Isom but don't know which is her family.
I
think her father died in TN, but which one was he. No one seems
to know
anything about this family. Isaac, Annie Giles, Elizabeth and
other Parkers
moved to Bibb Co AL. then to Leake Co MS.
Giles and Elizabeth moved to Jackson Parsih LA then to Hempstead Co
AR.where
they died. Elizabeth married an old man named Alexander after Giles
died. that
is about all I know. I have thought that her Dads name was James,
but I don't
have a will to find out.
