26. Matthew Muir (Alexander³, Mathew², Mathew¹) was born on 26 Jan 1757 in Renfrew, Renfrew, Scotland, was christened on 10 Feb 1757 in Renfrew, Renfrew, Scotland, died in 1791 at age 34, and was buried in Inchinnan, Renfrew, Scotland. Matthew Muir occupied the farm of Auchinleck on the Estate of Robroyston in the Parish of Cadder, Lanarkshire, for 5 years from 1785 to 1791 when he died. He was interred in Inchinnan Church Yard. Soon after his death she gave up the farm and removed with her family to Kirkland, where she remained several years, when she removed to Netherton in the Parish of Renfrew. There she remained till July 10th 1818 when she removed to her daughters house Mrs Hamilton at West Shiels in the Parish of Govan. Matthew married Margaret Stewart in 1785. Margaret died in Jun 1826.
