Dear Cousin

 

I have at last found and opertunity to write you a fiew lines in answer to yours whitch I received

Some time ago  we are all well at this time & hope this will reash you in due time and finds you all

well  I havent anything of mutch importance to rite times is pretty dull here at this time  we have

had a very Colde winter here times is it is hoped will get better here soon as there is a propsect

of all of the Coal Shafte going to work & if they do it will bring more money in to Circulation at least

if it does nothing more  the health of our People is very good this winter  there was a big fire in

Murphysboro on the evening of the third of this month  it burned about half of the Squar in front

of the Court House  the loss is estimated at (25,000) twenty five thousand dollars  the loss is

partly civered by inshurance in different Companys  well Stephen are you married yet  if you are

not do you want to Marry & if you do want to marry Just let me no & I will try to give you a

perscription that perhaps will do you good  I have not bin to Cambells Hill Since you & I was

there but I guess that big fat giril we seed there is all right  I have not bought any more boxes

of candy since you & I got that on the Cars  But enough of that  I have bin trying to Clear

Som land this winter but it has bin so Cold that we Could not get mutch grubing don yet  but

I hope it will get warm Soon So I can go to work again  See Bradley & family is all Well & right

Side up with Care he has not fell down over the railroad Since you was here that I no off 

Lee & my self intends to come down to see you next fall provided we bouth live & Lee does

not get the Skin knocked of his nose again & we Can get Money enough to get there & back

again.  I must close for this time excuse bad riting & Spelling  write Soon & often
