After along Silence I write a few lines to let you as that we air
all well at present hoping this will
find you enjoying the same blessing. We have good crops of oats
& wheat the farmers air thrashing
at this time of the year.
We had a fine rain last nite enough to make good corn of all crops that
was planted early times is hard here for the farmer hands is Scars
and wages high there is so much
publick work going on in county that farm hands can get any price
they ask. You Should come up
this fall & see the coal works in this county the Cairo & St. Louis railroad running
thru here has stird
up a great coal fever amongst the capatilist of St. Louis So far as I no the rest of the connection
air all well tel onkel
& Aunt that if they would come & See us this fall it would bee a great
pleasure
for us to meat them at the Depo
RAVENNA sais to tel Alie that she has got her Spider quilt nearly
quilten She wants you to
tel the girls that She would like to See them once moar tell Jack & Dan
to write us a few lines once in awhile you will find enclosed Some of mother HOLLIDAYS hair that she
wanted onkel PHILLIP to have withit RAVENNA sends Some of his pappys So he can Some of boath
of there hair well I will
