Dear Cosin
I take this opportunity to answer you most kind and welcome letter
which came to hand in due
time I was glad to here
from you and to here that you was all well except your mother and I
hope these few lines may find you all well this leaves us all well at present but I am
sorry to
tell you that AUNT TRIFENIA HOLIDAY is dead She died last thursday morning the 7th at 2
oclock
there was a great many people at the burying Well Stephen I havent any thing els new to
write
this time we will have winter up here it has bin snowing most all
day and it is tollerable cold
there is a good deal of sickness up here and it is most all fatle.
We havent commenced farming
any yet Wheat is worth 65~
per bushel Corn 35 to 50 cents per
bushel hay 19 to 20 per ton
oats 25 cents per bushel.
Well Stephen I will close here hoping to here from you soon So I
must Close for this time

CALEB PATE laitly I have
rote some too or three times and havent got no answer yet I will be glad to here from him
