Brother and Sister:
I glady imbrace this oppertunity of sending you a
few lines informing you that we are all well at this time. Hoping this may
find you all injoying the like blessing. I received yours by MR HARRIS beeing the first since you left here
which gave me
much satisfaction to hear of your well being in
time and to know that you have not quite forgotten me. You say you have
wrote and wrote.
Maybe so, if so I think you directed them to some one else for be you
asured they have not been heard
of by me.
We have 8 children, 4 girls and four boys. BENJAMIN and MARY born since you left, all healthy. Many is grown
and tall.
We have prosperous crops in this country. Health of the people good for this season. MR THACKELTON as
usual is away from home at work in a mill for old
Smith. I wish you to write me as often
as convenient and direct yours to
Stove Bridge Smith Co and give your latest
information of ANTHONY as he does not write to me. I would like very well to
keep up a correspondence you know I cannot write
and he wont so I cannot help it. I
think you mite come and see us if
you would.
Do not be so selfish for if I had the chance I would do so. I will close subscribing myself your Sister,
