It apparently started out as the Peyton J Pate Bible, and information 

was later added by Nobie Pate Bailey, daughter of Head Randolph Pate.

There are 3 or 4 different handwritings.

Peyton Jerome Pate was my gr-grandfather; They lived in

Athens, Claiborne Par, LA; (See Desc Chart P-64)
