This affiant has often heretofore heard that the said Widmeyer behaved well in the service and served out his time like a man. This affiant had a brother drafted into the service at the same time said Michael Widmeyer was, and his said brother was killed at Guilford Courthouse. This deponent is, and for a very long time, has been well acquainted with said Widmeyer and believes that his statements of his services are true.
