Ambrose Chapel
Location: Winchester Grade Road, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia Photos courtesy of Brent and Sonjia Sherrard, and Robert Ambrose The existing building is believed to be the "new" chapel, completed in 1851. In 2000, Brent and Sonjia Sherrard (Sonjia is a descendant of Henry Ambrose) began work to restore the chapel. However, much work remained to be done and in 2004, Brent and Sonjia deeded the chapel to Robert Ambrose who has continue the restoration work.

While the restored interior colors may appear to have been chosen for a Christmas celebration, they are actually typical "Williamsburg" colors and were matched as closely as possible to what is believed to be the original paint.
