The Raunsgard Stau

|
The Raunsgard Stua in the Hol Museum, Hol Hallingdal, Norway was built by my Great x5 grandfather around 1750 to 1760. A number of other buildings
dating from the 17th Century are still standing on the old home place caller Raunsgard, which is located only about a ten minute walk from the railroad station in Geilo. The town of Geilo is
built on part of our old home farm, and is located on the Bergan Railroad, halfway between Bergan and Oslo.

The home was moved to the Hol Museum in Hol Hallingdal, Norway. It is known as The Raunsgard Stau. The 1724 to 1727 interior painting is untouched since 1800
. The cupboards reveal ancestors names and also dates listed. The family home of SVENSGAARG (SVEINUNGAARD) on Gard Sveinungaard in Skurdalen, which is another valley over a mountain range
from Ustedalen, may still be found and is occupied by Parler descendants. |
