William, married Elizabeth , and died on 20 Aug 1811 in Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio
Joseph was born in 1739, married Margaret Weaver and died on 28 Apr 1834 in Parkisons Ferry, Washington County, Pennsylvania at age 95.
James was born in 1740, married Ann Junkin

Thomas was born about 1742, married Margaret Lattimer, and died on 30 Sep 1807 in Bethany, Brooke County, West Virginia about age 65.
Richard married Mary Unk and died before 16 Feb 1802.
John was born about 1750, married Jane. By 1788 he was in Washington Co., Pennsylvania. See next below.
Catherine was born about 1752, married Samuel Meek , and died in 1794 about age 42.
Benjamin was born in 1753, Married Elizabeth Dickey , and died on 26 Oct 1834 in Washington County, Pennsylvania at age 81, and was buried in Pigeon Creek Cemetery, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
David was born before 21 Mar 1758 In cumberland County, Pennsylvania, married Jane Davis , and died before 4 Nov 1817 in Champaign County, Ohio. |
John was born about 1750, and purchased a warrant for 82 1/2 acres of land called Gilboa, situated on the waters of Pidgeon Creek, Washington County, Pennsylvania dated March 24, 1788. He received the patent, 10 Sep 1790. He also appears in the 1790 Washington County Census as Jno Parkeson. John and his wife Jane, sold this land to Andrew Boggs on 17 June 1791. He was in the Beaver County, Pennsylvania Census in 1800. He was the father of John Parkison of Warren Co.Ohio. See next below.

Willis,
married Hariet Lawman, he was a merchant in Xenia, Greene County Ohio,
and died there in 1826.
One daughter, Harriet C.
married Benjamin C. Haines, died young
in Illinois. A second, Mary Jane, married
Thomas Perkins in Xenia, then moved west to Nebraska
Territory prior to 1860. Mary Jane appears to be a widow in the 1860 Nebraska Terr., Otoe County census.
James died 1823, in Warren County Ohio, prior to the family coming to Indiana. George married Lucretia Dawson, and moved to Shelby County by 1827, later moved to Tippecanoe County Indiana. His sons also went west, John to Missouri and two others, Mahlon and William to Illinois. Mahlon later returned to live in Madison County, Indiana. William remained in Illinois. Jonathan married Mary Criss, moved to Noble Tp. Shelby County, Indiana prior to 1840 , Where he operated a farm. Most of Jonathan's family remained in Shelby County and are buried in the area. John2 married Avis Harford and was a farmer first in Decatur County, Indiana then in Liberty Tp., Shelby County, Indiana area, and his son, John Henry, (my grandfather) after his father died in 1860, farmed in Shelby County for a while, than in 1880 bought a farm near Tarkeo in Decatur County and moved the family there. Moses and Mary, remained in Decatur County, Indiana just across the Shelby-Decatur County line in Adams Tp. just outside of St. Omer. Mary never married. Moses operated a farm in the area and married twice, first to Sally Brown then to Salome Leffler. Samuel married Sarah Ann Chambers and also remained in Decatur County until 1849 when he went to Illinois purchased land but sold it after about six months and returned to Decatur County. His son, John Davis Parkison, M D, moved first to Missouri, then to Oregon and Washington before returning to live in Illinois. |
