Some say this line goes back to the Corbins of Virginia, and I agree with that,
but others say they are descendants of another line of Corbins. I don't
yet have data proving either supposition correct, so am collecting info on all
the Corbin lines out of Virginia, NC, SC and GA in hopes of one day discovering
the truth.

Thomas Wilson above was born 13 Mar 1839 in Yancey
county, NC, and married Hester A. Deweese on 21 Nov 1858. His death and what
actually happened to him is a big family mystery with several possibles
including murder by a Southerner since he fought on the side of the Union,
killed in self-defense by Hester one night when he was abusing her, and shot by
a sniper during the War. No one knows for sure what happened to him.
Hester lived out her life with her daughter, Cornelia "Nealie" and
son-in-law, "Merdie" Corbin, and died at Sand Mountain, AL 31 Jul
1930. Their children were Annia Addie Wilson b 9 Dec 1859 in NC who married ?
