Will of ADAM DALE

APPLICATION FOR PROBATE OF WILL OF Adam Dale, late of Vesta, Allen Twp. deceased, and Grant of Letters Testamentary. Registers Office, Washington County.Before the Register of Wills of Washington County, personally appeared Charleroi Savings & Trust Co. who being duly sworn says that Adam Dale, late resident of Vesta was a citizen of the U. S. died at 2:45 o’clock p. m. on the 5th day of February A. D. 1918 leaving an estate estimated value of $15,000.00 realty and %350.00 personally, said real estate being located in Homestead and one acre of land 4 - 5 room houses 1 - double house, all located in Vesta, Allen township, 1 lot being No. 34 in block 75 in second addition to Donora, 3 houses and lots on Knox Ave. and 6th St. Monessen.
Petitioner prays that the paper writing filed herewith dates 11th day of April, 1914 may be admitted to probate as the last Will and Testament of said decedent, and to grant letters Testamentary thereon to Charleroi Savings & Trust Co.

I, Adam Dale, of Vesta, Allen Township, County of Washington, and the State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made.
FIRST: I direct my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently as may be, after my decease, that my body be decently buried;
SECOND: I authorize my wife, Annie Harriet Dale, to take charge of the home, where we now live, during her lifetime, if she so long remains my widow, and to keep the family together, in the same manner as we now live. But should my wife, and the rest of the family at home disagree to this, Then I direct that my wife during her life keep the house, so long as she remains my widow, and that executors pay to her the sum of Five Dollars, ($5.00) Per week during her life, so long as she remains my widow,
THIRD: I, bequeath to my beloved wide, Annie Harriet Dale, the full amount, of a life insurance policy, on my life, carried in the Prudential Insurance Company of America, to the amount of One Thousand Dollars, ($1,000.) at the time of my death, as she may choose to retain for her own use, for the supply of her immediate wants,
FOURTH: I will and direct my executors, not to sell any of my estate or property, until the death, or marriage of my wife, subject to the following exceptions, Viz: that should any manufacturing plants, locate near my property or estate, or other improvements take place, that in their opinion, would make it necessary, or would add greater value to my estate, then they to sell lot or lots, as may be required and to invest the proceeds of such sale or sales, so as to increase the value of my estate, when my aforesaid real, personal, or mixed property, is sold as herein before mentioned, and the money or monies so obtained by my executors, I give and bequeath the same to my children as follows:
1. Item, at the death or marriage of my widow Annie Harriet Dale, my property to be sold, excepting, the house and lot that we now live in, and house number 5, located at Vesta in Allen Township, County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, and my property located in Monessen, County of Westmoreland, State of Pennsylvania.
2. Item, the Homestead, we now live in, located at Vesta, Allen Township, County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, I give and bequeath, to my youngest Son, Alfred John Dale,
3. Item, the house number 5, “Bounded on the south by property of Auther Dale, Estate, I give and bequeath to my son Ernest Dale,
4. Item, my property, located in Monessen, County of Westmoreland, State of Pennsylvania. I give and bequeath, to my Son Richard Thomas Dale,
5. Item, the remainder of my estate, to be equlity devided, between the rest of my children, Viz; Mary E. Tippens, Edith Donaldson, and Adam Dale, Ida Dale, Children of my deceased, Son Fredrick Dale, to have their Fathers share and divided between them, and Jean Carroll, Child of my Daughter Gertrude Hannah Dale, she to have her mothers share,
6. Item, I, give and bequeath, to Carrie Dale, Widow of my Son Author Dale, (deceased) to pay her the sum of Five Dollars, ($5.00) per month, payable monthly, so long as she lives or remains the Widow of my Son Auther Dale,
7. Item, Thomas A. Dale, Son of my Son Auther Dale, I, leave to him nothing whatsoever, having left it to his Mother, as per Item 6,
8. Item, I, give and bequeath to Gladys Yoxall, my Piano, and attachments, together with all Music Books,
9. Item, I, give and bequeath to Hannah Dale, my Mother, the sum of five dollars ($5.00), per month, payable monthly, so long as she lives,
10. Item, I, give and bequeath to my widow Annie Harriet Dale, full control, and wish her to arrange the business with the executors.I do hereby make, constitute and appoint Charleroi Savings and Trust Co., of Charleroi Pa. to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, Adam Dale, the Testator above named, have hereto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the Eleventh day of April in the years of our Lord one thousand nine hundred fourteen.Adam Dale (seal)
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Adam Dale as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testator and of each other.
