Submitters note: This is an obituary for my grandmother, Elizabeth Dorothy RHINE Brown, who died March 2, 1938.
WIFE OF PROMINENT LOCAL MAN DIES Mrs. Elizabeth RHINE Brown, 46, wife of Robert BROWN, former city chairman of the Republican committee, passed away quietly at her home, 421 Glenn Street, Wilson, Wednesday, March 2, following a serious illness of two weeks duration. She suffered from bronchial asthma, which resulted in heart trouble. Beside her husband, she is survived by three children, the youngest being 13, two daughters, Margaret, and Edith, and a son, Robert, Jr. Her mother, Mrs. Carrie Rhine of Wilson, sister, Mrs. Edith Mansfield and her brother Walter, both of Canonsburg, and brothers, Fred and Thomas RHINE of Wilson, also survive. Funeral services will be held from her late home Saturday at 2:00 P.M., in charge of Elder Keith Neilson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of which she was a member. She was also actively associated with the Dames of Malta. Internment will take place in Lebanon Cemetery.
