1951 Palmer Clanvention, Bethel Church,
Peiro, Woodbury County, Iowa
In 1934, descendants of William and Cora (Sinclair) Palmer gathered
at Watertown, South Dakota for a family reunion. A second reunion was
held near Georgetown, Minnesota in 1936, and a third at Carson, Iowa in
1947. More branches of the family were invited in 1949 and the "Clanvention"
has been an annual event since then. Held the second weekend in August,
the Clanvention draws Palmer kin for all parts of the country.
