When I first started researching my family history I tended to concentrate on my direct line but decided to take down all the Pallisers (with various spellings)  which I found in the registers, census returns  etc . This led me to draw up separate trees, unconnected to my own line. Parishes I have covered in this way are :-

Sessay, Dalton, Bedale, Stokesley, Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, South Kilvington,  Sowerby, Thirsk, Northallerton, Felixkirk, Topcliffe, Brompton, etc.
