INTRODUCTION

This line was prepared for the Mewborn family reunion. Every line was contacted for their information but again some of it is compiled and the major primary source, the Bible of Lemuel Hardy Mewborn has disappeared. Ima was allowed to copy it many years ago but she did not make a xerox copy and I have questions as to exactly what was in the Bible and what Ima added to it for the allied families.

Many cousins provided information and Bibles.

A special thank you to Egbert Rouse who spent many hours going over my original rough draft editing and making data changes. The original was done before computers and softwear. Egbert spent many years collecting obituaries from various newspapers and information from tombstone and generously shared those with me.
