NOTE; TART is a typo - it was Hart
In the Harper suit below, all of the children of Ephraim Spivey Sr. are
listed as defendants. Ephraim Spivey Sr. died 1806 in Greene Co. and his
wife was Margaret (no maiden name). Could Margaret Spivey have been a
Harper? Can anyone explain this suit? BTW Jesse Tart is a typo. He is
Jesse Hart and his wife was Polly Spivey daughter of Ephraim Sr. and
Margaret? (The Elizabeth Spivey married Robert Hill in May 1823).

recently and I am jumping in just in case she does not see this post.

Raleigh Register - 28 March 1828 gives the death of Holland Phillips who md Delaney Harper. Death was 4 March 1828. Delany then married Martha Sugg Harper dau of John Sugg Jr and Martha Aldridge and widow of Blaney Harper, Jr (Delaney's nephew). Martha Sugg Harper's sister Mary was married to Delaney's brother Charles Hopton Harper
