Dobbs County, North Carolina 1790 Census

Ralph added two fields which are not in the originaldocument:

1. Page, column & line numbers, in the form "2C-004" (representing the 4th

enumeration in the 3rd column of page 2.). This field uniquely identifies

each enumeration in the event of duplicate names. As you know, the 1790

census used four columns of listings per page & Dobbs begins in the 3rd

column, "C"; the 1st 2 columns represent the end of Pitt County.

2. Transcriber/Interpreter Notes: Two instances were found where the

enumerator's tally may have been in error; rather than correct them, I noted

"Error?" in this field. The field is also useful for identifying the

locations of families where identifiable and other information.
