LEWIS Pace Family

This picture is of the Lewis Culllen Pace family. He was born 1848 in Mississippi, son of Wyche H. Pace and Matilda W. Kirk-Pace, married Oct 26, 1836 in Hardeman Co.,TN. They had five children and Wyche died in 1851 in TN. His wife came to Franklin Co. AL and remarried to James McGaha or McGaughy on a later census. They had two more children, Billiam B. and Louvenia McGaughy.

His daughter Lonie Leona Pace is my grandmother and she married a Pace also, so she's a Pace-Pace. She was born Feb. 1, 1880 and died Sept. so, 1934 before my father ever got married. My fathers name is Louis Pace. Lonie Leona married Joseph Benjamin Pace , born April 23, 1876 and died Oct. 8, 1962. Both are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery on old Belgreen highway just outside Russelville, Alabama. Lonie Leona had brother named Cullen Pace and Louis Pace.  There were also two sisters, names unknown. They came from Mississippi to Franklin Co. Alabama.

The people on the picture are Lewis Pace's family as follows: Top Row: 2 pace women-no names known, next Lonie Leona Pace-Pace (my grandmother) and Dan Pace. Bottom row: Cullen Pace, His father Lewis Pace and wife--no name known, and Joe Pace. This picture and the names I have are all I know of my grandmother. This is not of the Gideon Pace side of the family, but my grandfather who married Lonie Leona Pace is of the Gideon Pace family and his son William Richard Pace who married Rowena Pace. Gideon is my gggrandfather and William Richard Pace (his son) is my ggrandfather, and my grandfather is Joseph Benjamin Pace who married another Pace-Lonie Leona Pace - no relations we're told.
