John P Pace Family

John P. Pace of Esmont, VA, was born 11-13-1867 died 7-2-1941.  He is with one of his sons Harold O. Pace.  Harold had just returned home after enlisting in the U.S. Navy prior to WW2.  This photo was taken around 1940.  Harold remained in the Navy until he retired.  He was onboard the USS Enterprise during WW2 and saw action during the war.

 John is one of the children of William Andrew Pace and Mary Ann Ricks of Virginia.  William was a son of Jesse Pace and Nancy B. Moore.  Jesse was a son of George Pace and Margaret Mullins.  This is as far back as I (Robin Estes) have confirmed. They all lived outside of Richmond in the area of Esmont, VA.  Most of the extended family of John P. Pace are or were in the Albermarle County, VA area.  The pictures are all taken at the home in Esmont except for the Arlington photo. It is believed this Pace family may be descended from John Pace of Middlesex County, VA.

Virginia Mae Pace (Hoskin) and her brother Floyd Pace.  Virginia "Virgie" was born April 12, 1900.  The family is estimating her age in this photo to be around 16 years taken in Esmont, VA with her brother Floyd.  (Virgie is Robin Estes' maternal grandmother.)

Lisa Jane (Kirby) Pace, Virginia and Floyd's mother, first wife of John P. Pace. She died 1/28/1915. John married twice after her death and had 12 children by 3 wives.
