Mrs. Letha BRIGHT OXFORD, age 71 years, wife of William OXFORD died at her home north east of town Friday August 4th after a long illness.
Born near Lyddie Lee Springs, she has spent her entire life in this community.
Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Stilman WHITELY of Fayetteville, from the Baptist Mission Church where she had been a member since early girlhood.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, two daughters, Miss Ruby OXFORD and Mrs. Edith HEAL, two brothers, Noah BRIGHT, Pawhuska, Okla., and Charlie BRIGHT of Long Beach, Calif., also two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Pasha BIBY, wife of Bill BIBY, died at her home in Tulsa, January 16, after a long illness.
Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the local Pentecostal Holiness church, conducted by Rev. Arthur SMITH, Tulsa pastor, with burial in the Westville cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Pasha HART was born September 16, 1893, dying at the age of 50 years and 4 months. She was united in marriage to William BIBY, July 23rd, 1909, to which union three children were born, Mrs. Herman OXFORD and J.C. BIBY of Tulsa, and A.C. BIBY, who is in the Armed Forces, stationed at Camp Millard, Ohio.

Funeral rites for Jess MORRIS, 69, life long citizen of Adair County were held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in Roberts Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Jim CROSS, pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness church officiating. Accompanied by Mrs. Leora WHITECROW, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie RIGGS of Tulsa, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter CARLTON of Westville sang, "Father Along," "Heaven Will Be Worth it All" and "What Will I Leave Behind."
Mr. MORRIS was born in 1892 near Stilwell, the son of Wilson and Polly MORRIS and died March 27 in the Stilwell hospital, following several months illness.
Pallbearers were his nephews, Curtis MORRIS, Lawrence MORRIS, Mitchell MORRIS, Vol EADS, John Henry MORRIS, Frankie MORRIS. Flower bearers were his nieces, Joyce MCDONALD, Francis MORRIS, Florine MORRIS, Deana MORRIS, Golda MORRIS and Nell OXFORD.
Survivors are his wife, Ella of the home; two daughters, Ella Mae and Jessie Faye MORRIS of Tulsa; one sister, Pearl MENSCH of Leavenworth, Kansas; one brother, Oce MORRIS, of Westville.
One sister, Annie and two brothers, Lee and John MORRIS preceded him in death.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Effie FOLSOM, 82, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Roberts Funeral Chapel with T.J. TEEL of Stilwell, Church of Christ, officiating. Music was furnished by members of the Church of Christ of which she was a member.
Mrs. FOLSOM was born November 20, 1879, in Arkansas, the daughter of Will and Nancy BARRETT, and died Thursday, February 22 at her home in Westville, following a long illness.
Mr. FOLSOM preceded her in death several years ago.
Burial was in the Baptist Mission Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Marvin CAGLE, Oscar SMITH, C.E. PACE, Joy Lee POYNOR, Lee PICKENS, Hardy COMSTOCK. Flower bearers were Mrs. Lee PICKENS, Mrs. Carley PACE, Mrs. Kenneth SHERRIN, Mrs. Paul ROBERTS, Mrs. Vivian JONES and Miss Bertha BROWN.
Survivors were four daughters, Mrs. Syrena PACE, Westville, Mrs. Edna ELLIS, New Castle, Wyo., Mrs. Hattie FOREST, Rock Springs, Wyo., Mrs. Gertrude CHURCH, Powell, Wyo.; one son, Elmer FOLSOM, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie WARWICK and Mrs. Emma OXFORD of Calif.; two brothers, George and Charley BARRETT of Calif.

Funeral service for Mrs. Anna L. DEWART, 55, who died Friday at her home southwest of Westville, was held Sunday afternoon in Roberts Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. G.H. CRITTENDEN, pastor of the Baptist church at Stilwell, officiating.
She was a member of the Free Will Baptist church. Mrs. DEWART was born May 25, 1904 at Lincon, Ark., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allie B. FRAZIER.
Burial was in the Westville Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were, J.W. ROSE, Owen SMITH, Harlan WEBB, Oscar LAWSON, Knute OXFORD and J.A. BUTLER.
The survivors are her husband, Charles DEWART of the home; three children, Miss Evelyn Alice DEWART, also of the home; Charles L. DEWART of Tulsa; Mrs. Virginia Frances TOMLINSON, Ft. Rucker, Ala.; her father, Allie FRAZIER; five grandchildren; one brother, W.L. FRAZIER, Garden Grove, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Nora BEGGS, Reno, Nev.
