Funeral services were held Sunday October 08, 2000 at 2p.m. for Ada Idebell Oxford Bratton, 88, a longtime Coalgate area resident, at Lehigh Baptist
Church with Rev. J W Burrows officiating,
Burial was in Lehigh Cemetery under the direction of Browns Funeral Home of Atoka.
A housewife, she died Thursday October 05, 2000 at Hurley Manor, Coalgate.
Born at Atoka on October 20, 1911, she was the daughter of George Washington and Billie Byrd (Veal) Oxford.
She attended Grasshopper Community in Coal
County, and was a longtime member of the Lehigh Baptist Church.
She was married to B. Bratton at Lehigh on September 30, 1928, He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents George and Billie Oxford; one son Doyle Bratton; a daughter Dorothy Williams; three great grand-children;
one sister Vera Richardson; and three brothers, Allie; Claborn and Hershal Oxford.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Etta Glass and husband G.D. , Betty Furr and husband, Bobby, all of Phillips, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Thelma Prewett and husband Clem of Tushka: Sandra Hampton and husband Mike, and Jimmy Mason all of Duncan: Barbara Mason, McAlester: Tommy Mason and
wife Michelle of Marlow; Glenn Glass and wife, Vanessa, Coalgate: Mark Bratton and wife Patti, and Carla Buchanan and husband, Walter all of Ada: Diann Warner and husband Mike, Enterprise, Oregon:
32 Great Grand Children:
along with numerous other relatives and many dear and longtime friends.
Pallbearers were: Alvin Pebworth, Glenn Glass, Bob Burns, Dwayne Pebworth,
Bobby Furr and Howard Ables.
