Mrs. Effie OXFORD, widow of George H. OXFORD and a
resident of Chillicothe for 29 years, died this morning (17 Feb 1970) at
her home. Effie VAN DYKE, dau of William VAN DYKE and Nora FLETCHER was born May 14, 1886 in California. On Nov. 12, 1905, she married Mr. OXFORD at Jamesport, Daviess Co., Missouri. In 1939 they moved to a Livingston Co. farm. Three years later they moved to Chillicothe where Mr. OXFORD was engaged in the real estate business. Mrs. OXFORD is survived by three dau: Mrs. Geneva WIGHTMAN, Mrs. Mildred COX, and Mrs. Vinita COWAN; two sons, Harold and Ronald OXFORD. Interment in Lock Springs Cemetery.

Chillicothe businessman, died last night (1 Feb 1965) at the Chillicothe
hospital. A son of Henry Clay OXFORD and Elizabeth TERRY, he was born Dec. 23, 1883 near Jamesport, Daviess Co., Missouri. On Nov. 12, 1905 he married Miss Effie VAN DYKE. Burial in Lock Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Opal Romaine OXFORD, age 78, died Monday
morning at a hospital in Kansas City. She was a former Chillicothe
resident. She was born Nov. 28, 1906 in Pattonsburg, Daviess Co., Missouri.
Daughter of Fred JONES and Myrtle E. GOTSCHELL. She married Martin B. HAINES in November 1926. In April 1963 she married Roscoe OXFORD in Grove, Missouri.
