Catherine Alice NEWTON (1865-1909)

Catherine Alice NEWTON,1 daughter of Samuel NEWTON (chr.1819, d.1895) and Elizabeth BERRYMAN (1827-1912), was born in 1865 in Creswick, Vic.1 She married William James SUTHERLAND in Emerald Hill, Vic.2

William and Catherine had 3 children :

- William Harold SUTHERLAND (b.1894 Moe, Vic; d.1895 Darnum, Vic)

- William Harold SUTHERLAND (b.1897 Darnum, Vic; d.1898 Darnum, Vic)

- Eva Florence Ann SUTHERLAND (b.1899 South Melbourne, Vic).3

Catherine died (aged 44) in 1909 in St Kilda, Vic.4
