Sarah FOSTER (1823-1909)
Sarah FOSTER1,2 was born on 20 July 1823 in Standon, Hertfordshire.3,4 Sarah's parents were William FOSTER (b.1799 High Cross, Hertfordshire, England; d. 13 May 1847 Port Arthur Tas) and Mary TOTTINGHAM (b. 27 Mar 1796 Braughing, Hertfordshire, England; d. 12 Nov 1840 Dulwich Hill NSW). William and Mary were married 6 Nov 1819 Standon, Hertfordshire, England.4
Sarah married Robert BARTLETT in 1840 in Patrick's Plains, NSW.4
In 1845 in Paterson NSW, Sarah also married Edward ASPINALL (b.1808 Wigan, Lancashire; d.1881). Edward was tried at Wigan for housebreaking and sentenced to life. They had seven children.5
Sarah died (aged 86) on 24 August 1909 in Bowman, NSW.4,6 She was buried in 1909 in the general cemetery in Copeland, NSW. She is buried without a headstone. Her name is displayed on an index board of who is buried there under the name ASPINALL.7
