Herbert Patrick MCNAMARA,1 son of William MCNAMARA (1874-1954) and Maria A KELLY (1879-1951), was born on 21 June 1916 in Cooma, NSW.2,3,4
between 10 July 1943 and 21 March 1946 when aged 27-29 he served in World War II in 8 Line Section as a signalman. He enlisted at Cabramatta, NSW. His service number was NX161443. He also had service number N80966 suggesting he may have enlisted twice.5,6 He married Nellie May CHANTLER on 10 November 1947 at the BDM District in Liverpool, NSW.7,8,9
he died "Date Unknown" .
