Patrick James LAWLER (1897-1976)

Patrick James LAWLER,1 son of Thomas LAWLER (1870-1925) and Annie O'CONNOR (1871-1955), was born in 1897 in Michelago, NSW.2 He was a follower of the Catholic faith .3

between 21 November 1916 and 10 April 1919 when aged 18-22 he served in World War I in the 5th Machine Gun Battalion of the 1st AIF. His service number was 1787 and he attained the rank of Private. His unit embarked from Sydney, NSW on board HMAT (A67) "Orsova" on 2 December 1916.4 He was a grazier .2 He married Jessie ALEXANDER in 1925 in Drummoyne, NSW.2

he died (aged 79) in 1976 in an unidentified place.5
