Joseph HILL1,2 was born in 1820 (approx.) in England.3 On 17 June 1841 he was a mariner .4 He married Elizabeth TICKNER on 17 June 1841 at St Phillip's Church in Sydney, NSW. They were married by banns. Her father, Edward TICKNER and her sister-in-law, Mary Ann TICKNER were witnesses.1,2,4 Elizabeth and Joseph probably lived at and managed a confectionery shop at a number of premises in Sydney. Miss E HILL confectioner 598 George St Sydney & 117 Oxford St Sydney
As Elizabeth died in 1880 and no children have been found, the identity of the Elizabeth HILL listed in 1886, 1887, 1888 and the last entry is not known but she is recorded as Miss E HILL.4
Joseph and Elizabeth are not known to have had any children.4
Joseph died "Date Unknown" .
Elizabeth TICKNER1,2 was the daughter of Edward TICKNER (1789-1864) and Sarah TOWNER (1784-1860).
