Peter TICKNER (1744-1822)

Peter TICKNER,^1,2 son of Peter TICKNER (1713-1782) and Sarah BLUNT ( -1773), was born in 1743/44 in Ticehurst, East Sussex.³ He was baptised on 28 January 1744 in Ticehurst.² He married Elizabeth MARTIN on 29 October 1776 in Tenterden, Kent.¹

Peter and Elizabeth had 7 children :

- Elizabeth TICKNER (b. Mar 1776 Tenterden)

- Peter TICKNER (b. 26 Jul 1778 Tenterden; d. Sep 1845 Rolvenden)

- Edward TICKNER (b. Mar 1781 Tenterden, d. Jul 1857)

- Thomas TICKNER (b. Dec 1781 Tenterden)

- Jane TICKNER (b.1784 Tenterden, d. Jan 1789 Tenterden)

- George TICKNER (b. Mar 1791 Rolvenden, d. Jul 1802 Rolvenden)

- Walter TICKNER (b. Dec 1793 Rolvenden, d. Sep 1798 Rolvenden).^1,4

Peter died (aged 78) in August 1822 in Rolvenden, Kent.¹
