Maria PANKHURST,1,2,3 daughter of Thomas PANKHURST (1755-1810) and Elizabeth TURNER (1757-1819), was born on 18 May 1790 in East Guldeford, Sussex.1,3,4 She married Peter TICKNER on 29 July 1815 in East Guldeford. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas Pankhurst.1,2,5

Three of Peter and Maria's children were baptised in the Rye Baptist Church.2

Maria and Peter TICKNER lived at Stockbridge House on Stockbridge Farm in Snave, Kent.3,6,7

she died (aged 89) on 23 September 1879 at Stockbridge House on Stockbridge Farm in Snave.1,3,8 She was buried in 1879 in South side of the churchyard at Snave Church in Snave. Monumental Inscriptions in the churchyard of Snave Church : Peter TICKNER of Stockbridge House, Snave, died 23 March 1876 in 84th year. Left surviving his wife Maria, 3 sons and 2 daughters. Maria his wife died 23 September 1879 in her 90th year.9

 

Peter TICKNER1,2,3 was the son of Thomas TICKNER (bef1758-1816) and Susannah BAILEY (1763-1816). He and Maria PANKHURST had the following children:
