James Thomas COLLINS (1883-1957)

James Thomas COLLINS1 [331], son of James Thomas COLLINS (1847-1928) [42] and Selina ARNOLD (1856-1932) [41], was born in 1883 at the BDM District in Bombala, NSW.2

On 1 June 1932 James resided at 103 Shepherd St in Sydney, NSW. This was his recorded address at the time of lodging his application for Copyright registration of "Delegate Songs and Ditties".3 Between 1 June 1932 and 16 June 1933 his interests included writing songs. He applied for Copyright over five seperate groups of songs; viz. Delegate Songs and Ditties; Delegate Songs and Ditties No. 2; Bathers of the Surf; Beautiful Twofold Bay and Broken Hill Jubilee.3

James died (aged 74) in 1957 in Newtown, NSW.4
