On 11 November 1845 Sarah resided at d'Oyley St in London (Chelsea), Surrey. She was living there at the time of her marriage to William.4 She married William Lee (Snr) GEGG on 11 November 1845 at the Parish Church of St Luke in London (Chelsea). They were married by Banns. They arrived in Melbourne on 13 Oct 1862.

Quote from Max Laidley's Tickner Book :

"In November 1855, James Croker of Windellama paid the fares for William And Sarah Gegg to emigrate to New South Wales with their three children but before they could start the journey, William GEGG died and the emigration plans were postponed until 1862 when Dinah Croker (wife of James) deposited thirteen pounds (English money) with the clerk of Petty Sessions, Goulburn, for the 'passage and outfit of Sarah, William L, James A and Janet Gegg.' The money was lodged on 13 January 1862 and the receipt for the money eventually passed to Les Collinswho still had it in 1981. Les was a grandson of James Albert Gegg."

Les Collins died in 1995 and it is not known what happened to the receipt. It is believed his sister Dot, who had a very limited tolerance of family history, helped in the clearance of the house and it is feared that the receipt has been lost. However an image of it has been found.9,10,11,12
