Jack KING1 was born on 20 October 1897 in Binnaway, NSW.1 Jack's father was James KING (Labourer) and his mother was Selina Harriet SMEE.1 His relationship to John is Stepfather. Between 30 May 1921 and 7 February 1960 Jack was a railway worker . (See the Certificate of Service, Department of Railways, NSW, Way and Works Branch under Sources {S0078}).2,3 He married Ruby Kathleen RYAN when he was 31 and she was 24 on 16 March 1929 at St John's Church of England in Mudgee, NSW.1

they lived at 92 Rosedale Ave in Greenacre, NSW. Jack and Ruby lived there for many years, maybe even all their married life. After Ruby's death, Jack continued to live there until after his marriage to Betty. He had to sell the house as it was resumed by the Government for the Stacey St deviation.4

Jack married Gladys Elizabeth COLLINS when he was 80 and she was 59 on 26 September 1978 at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Central Bankstown, NSW. Betty and her first husband Ted had been friends with Jack and Ruby at Bankstown Bowling Club and this is how they first met.1

Jack and Betty didn't have any children.5

from September 1978 to December 1990 Jack and Gladys Elizabeth COLLINS lived at 7 Ethel St in Condell Park, NSW. They both lived there until their deaths.1

he died (aged 93) on 10 December 1990 at Lidcombe Hospital in Lidcombe, NSW. The cause was (I) Pneumonia for 2 days and (II) Multi-infarct dementia for 10 - 15 years.6,7 He was buried on 13 December 1990 in plot 426 of the Catholic Lawn Section (L2) of Rookwood cemetery in Lidcombe.8,9

 

Ruby Kathleen RYAN1 and Jack KING had the following children:
