Sarah Maria TICKNER,1 daughter of Henry TICKNER (bef1821-1895) and Martha RIDEOUT (1828-1875), was born on 20 December 1874 at "Camberfield" in Razorback, NSW. (probably).1,2,3 She married George Henry HOCKEY on 20 June 1898 at St Andrew's Vickerage in Braidwood, NSW.1,4,5

Sarah died (aged 78) on 24 July 1953 at St John of Gods Hospital in Goulburn, NSW.1,7,8,9 She was buried in 1953 in St Bartholomew's church cemetery in Windellama, NSW.5,10
She was raise by her sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law James A Gegg. She was listed by J A Gegg as a 4 year old attendee at Windellama School in 1879. Her mother died in 1875.11
George Henry HOCKEY1,12 was the son of Thomas HOCKEY (1840-1913) and Margaret Jane WARRINGTON (1842-1919).
