Elizabeth TICKNER1,2 (known as 'Lizzie'), daughter of Henry TICKNER (bef1821-1895) and Martha RIDEOUT (1828-1875), was born on 18 January 1852 at "Camberfield" in Razorback, NSW.3,4 She was christened on 8 February 1852 in an unidentified place or church.5 Her relationship to John is Maternal Great (x1) Grandmother. Before 15 August 1871 Lizzie resided in Razorback. She lived with her parents.6 She married James Albert GEGG on 15 August 1871 at St John's Church in Camden, NSW. As Lizzie was under 21 at the time of her marriage, the consent of her father had to be given for the marriage. The marriage was witnessed by Elizabeth's uncle John Tickner and John's daughter Eliza Florist Dengate.5,6,7,8,9

from 15 August 1871 Lizzie and James Albert GEGG lived at the Camberfield area of the Camden district where Jimmy probably worked for John Tickner. Sometime after this they moved, along with some of the Tickners to the Bungonia and Windellama areas . At James's negligently branding trial on about 10 June, 1903 he deposed under oath that he had lived at Windellama, NSW for 30 years. So he and Lizzie arrived at Windellama c.1873. About 14 June 1903 they moved with their family to "Pineleigh", Common St Goulburn North, NSW. It consisted of portions 23 and 24 of No 1632 amounting to 39 acres and 2 roods. They lived there until their deaths.9,10,11

in 1925 she owned property consisting of a shop and dwelling at Union St in Goulburn, NSW. The premises were still listed on the roll as belonging to her husband James but he had died in 1915 so presumably the premises had passed to her. Based on a letter sent to her daughter Florist by another daughter Mattie, the house was known as "Caherea Cottage". The land for the Windellama school was purchased from Lizzie in 1925 at £5 per acre.12,13,14

she died (aged 77) on 2 May 1929 at "Pineleigh", Common St in Goulburn North, NSW.11,15 She was buried on 3 May 1929 in the Goulburn cemetery (Methodist Portion, Section 38, Lot 25) in Goulburn.15,16,17,18

It was said that Lizzie had very little hair and often wore a wig.19

James Albert GEGG1,2 (known as 'Jimmy') was the son of William Lee (Snr) GEGG (1818-1855) and Sarah KING (1821?-1889). He and Elizabeth TICKNER had the following children:
