John JOHNSTON,1 son of David JOHNSTON (bap.1751) and Helen JOHNSTON** ( - ), was baptised on 11 November 1770 in Alyth, Perthshire in Scotland.2 His relationship to John is Paternal Great (x4) Grandfather. John married Mary HENDERSON on 7 April 1793 in Alyth.3

There is also a marriage recorded between John Johnston Feuar, small land holder tenant of Alyth after Banns proclaimed on 7th, 13th and 21st April 1793. Who this was is not known.
