James Lewis BROWN (1876-1962)

James Lewis BROWN^1,2 was born on 5 January 1876 in Reidsdale, NSW.³ James' parents were Stephen BROWN and Emily CHITTENDEN.^3,4 James was a Grazier and Farmhand .³ He married Bridget Catherine COTTER on 3 September 1899 at the BDM District in Cooma, NSW.^1,3

James and Bridget had 4 children :

- John Stephen BROWN (b. 4 Oct 1900 Queanbeyan NSW)

- Mary BROWN (b. 1904 Queanbeyan NSW)

- William J. BROWN (b. 1908 Queanbeyan NSW)

- Elizabeth E. BROWN (b. 1911 Tumut NSW).³

James died (aged 86) on 17 May 1962 at the BDM District in Queanbeyan, NSW.^3,4 He was buried in May 1962 in the Catholic section of Riverside Cemetery, Erin St in Queanbeyan.³

Bridget Catherine COTTER⁵ was the daughter of James COTTER (1842-1922) and Elizabeth LENANE (1841-1911).
