Thomas Emmett MCNAMARA1 (known as 'Tommy'), son of Thomas Patrick MCNAMARA (1872-1945) and Ellen Agnes GRADY (1883-1958), was born in 1919 (calculated) in Orange, NSW.2,3 He was a professional entertainer . Tommy spent all his life in the entertainment business. He played the guitar, sang a lot of country music and won the Australian Amateur Hour (a national radio contest) in 1945 with his brother Timmy. On 27 September 1919 he worked as a duo with older brother Tim McNamara as the Atomic Comic singer and comedian. He performed under the stage name of Tommy Mack. He made quite a number of musical albums over the years and appeared in a number of movies. He spent many years on the NSW club circuit performing a comedy routine and also was a professional MC. He worked for Bob Dyer on his Solvol radio shows in 1952. He is known to have run a talent agency in Sydney NSW.1,4
he died (aged 85) on 18 April 2004 in a place still to be found. A death notice was published in the Sydney Morning Herald on 21 April 2004.5,6
