Clarence Patrick McNamara
Clarence Patrick MCNAMARA1 (known as 'Carney'), son of Thomas Patrick MCNAMARA (1872-1945) and Ellen Agnes GRADY (1883-1958), was born on 24 March 1907 in Queanbeyan, NSW.2,3 his interests included music. He was a singer with a beautiful Irish brogue.4 Carney married Beryl MILLS in 1938 at the BDM District in Sydney, NSW.5
between 28 July 1941 and 3 October 1941 when aged 34 he served in World War II in 1 Field T Regiment. He enlisted in Paddington NSW and his service number was NX40063.6
between 25 January 1942 and 1 February 1945 when aged 34-37 he served in World War II in 3 Air Maintenance Company AASC. He enlisted in Paddington NSW and his service number was NX95509.7
Carney and Beryl had at least two children, Clem and a daughter known as "Nookie".8
Carney died (aged 53) in 1960 at the BDM District in Burwood, NSW. His sister Nellie says he was 52 when he died indicating his date of death was probably between 1 January and 23 March 1960.9
