Thomas HOWARD1,2 was born on 4 February 1777 in Nottinghamshire, England.3,4 Thomas's parents were Charles HOWARD (b. c.1742 in presumably Yorkshire, England; d. c.1778 York, Yorkshire) and Ann Hussey JACKSON. They were married in 1776 in Leeds, Yorkshire. Thomas was the youngest of four boys. His siblings were William HOWARD (b. 1768 Leeds, Yorkshire), Samuel HOWARD (b.1773 Leeds, Yorkshire) and Charles HOWARD (b.1773 Leeds, Yorkshire), the last two presumably twins.1 Thomas married Catherine ROWLEY in 1797 in York, Yorkshire.1,5,6 He married Ann WILLIAMS on 5 October 1811 at St Phillip's Church of England in Sydney, NSW.2 In 1828 he was a blacksmith .7
in 1828 he owned property in Cornwallis, NSW. He had 15 acres of cleared and cultivated land with two horses and four cattle.7
Thomas and Catherine had 3 children :

- Frederick HOWARD (b. 1800 York, Yorkshire)
- Mary HOWARD (b. 1802 York, Yorkshire).6,8
Charles and Ann had 9 children :
- Charles HOWARD (b.1813 Sydney, NSW d.1878 Sydney, NSW). He married Margaret CARROLL, c.1839 at Prospect, NSW
- Ellen HOWARD (b. c.1815 Bringelly, NSW d.1860 Seven Hills NSW). She married John PIKE, 1831 at Parramatta, NSW
- Rachael HOWARD (b.1818 Bringelly NSW d.1848 Seven Hills NSW). She married Thomas FIELD, 1835 at Castlereagh NSW
- Catherine HOWARD (b.1819 Bringelly NSW, d.1881 Mittagong NSW). She married William HINES, 1836 at Sutton Forest NSW
- Jonathan HOWARD (b.1822 Windsor NSW, d.1886 Glebe NSW). He married Emma FITZGERALD, 1843 at Sydney NSW and then Susan DRAKE, 1874 at Sydney NSW
- David HOWARD (b.1822 Windsor NSW d.1875 Seven Hills NSW). He married Elizabeth BECKETT, 1846 at Prospect NSW
- Susannah HOWARD (b. c.1823 Windsor NSW)
- Hiram HOWARD (b. c.1826 Windsor NSW, d.1895 Howlong NSW). He married Eleanor Grace BRIEN, 1852 at Prospect NSW)
- Samuel HOWARD (b.1828 Cornwallis NSW, d.1868 Glebe NSW). He married Bridget GILROY, 1852 at Sydney NSW.2
in 1828 Thomas and Ann WILLIAMS lived in Cornwallis.7
he died (aged 64) on 3 October 1841 in Castlereagh, NSW.1
Ann WILLIAMS2 was the daughter of James WILLIAMS (1760?-1820) and Rachael WATKINS (1760?-1840).
