Cornelius MIFFLIN (1805-1860)

Cornelius MIFFLIN1 was born in 1805 in Wiltshire, England.2 Cornelius' parents were Solomon MIFFLIN (b.1763 Kingston Deverill Wiltshire) and Anne HOWELL.2

Cornelius' first marriage was to Mary Catherine COLLINS (b.1808 Ireland; d. 30 Jun 1836). They had four children, John (1829 - 1876), Ann (1831 - 1831), Solomon S (1833 - 1898) and Mary Ann (1835 - 1903).2 Cornelius married Maria TROWBRIDGE on 30 August 1840 in Tollard Royal, Wiltshire.1

Cornelius and Maria had 8 children :

- James MIFFLIN (b. 18 Sep 1841 England; d. 20 Apr 1842 England)

- Cornelius James MIFFLIN (b. 13 Mar 1843 England; d. 15 Mar 1887 Merlin, Tilbury East (Township) Kent Ontario)

- William Charles MIFFLIN (b. 8 Nov 1845 St Thomas Ontario; d. 12 Jul 1926 Kent County Ontario)

- Sarah Jane MIFFLIN (b. 10 Jul 1848 Baddertown Ontario; d. 19 Apr 1968)

- Joseph Wesley MIFFLIN (b. 6 Jul 1853 Baddertown Ontario; d. 13 Jul 1941 Spokane Washington)

- Henry MIFFLIN (b. 19 Apr 1855 Baddertown Ontario; d. 29 Jul 1892 Detroit Michigan)

- David MIFFLIN (b. 15 Dec 1856 Baddertown Ontario; d. 3 Nov 1892)

- Lydia MIFFLIN (b. 25 Apr 1859 Baddertown Ontario; d. 21 Apr 1913 Amherstburg Ontario).2

Cornelius died (aged 55) on 19 March 1860 at the township in Tilbury East, Kent Ontario in Canada.2

 

Maria TROWBRIDGE1 was the daughter of Charles TROWBRIDGE (chr.1782) and Maria HAYTEN ( - ).
