Message : "Flemington", Wyreema I.
Dear Mother and Father. We received your letter last week & was pleased to hear of you being well. Really I can't seem to get time to write a letter. We are milking 22 cows now and Charlie & I were doing it all our selves until last week we got a lad to help. So I could not try for any more boarders (probably) as I hardly got any time in the house milking and running after cows all day. C. was trying to get a bit of ploughing done but oh dear it is frightfully dry. All our cabbage and other vegetables are dead & the tomatoes there are not a dozen of fruit on the lot We had one ripe. We can't water them as we have to draw the water for them. Trusting you are all quite well. With love to Flo, Tom, Dad & your self. Wishing you all a Merry Xmas & a Bright & Prosperous New Year. With fond love from
Sadie & Charlie

We have had a lovely trip round past Wilson's Promintory at 6 this evening. Expect to reach Melbourne about 6 a m tomorrow. Sadie and I are both well. Had no sign of seasickness, so we are not bad sailors. It has been exceptionally calm right through. Love to all from Charlie & Sadie

Message : I received letter & schedule. Sent it on to C. He said in his last letter that he does not care whether we put ??? (maybe some sort of grain - looks like Alf) in or not. So if you don't get word from him don't bother about them. He was going to ?? (maybe Larooma or Tarooma) to see Albert when he wrote last. Neither of them have a place yet. (Upside down on top of card) Mother I am leaving here on Sunday for Stanthorpe. I am going to stay up with my ?? Uncle's until Charlie gets a place. Will write to you later. Love to all. Sadie
