| ROACHE family: Bartholomew and Margaret Roache came out to New Zealand on board the Oxford in 1874. They travelled with Bartholomew's younger brother, Michael, also listed as a Farm Labourer. During the voyage they lost a son, Patrick. Their son James (Jeni's Great Grandfather) came with them too. A daughter, Bridget, was born 8 days before the ship arrived in Auckland.
