ARRIVAL OF THE WAIROA
The Evening Post November 23rd 1880
Messrs Shaw Savill & Co's fine clipper ship Hermione, 1120 tons, under command of Captain Roberts, arrived off Wellington Heads at an early hour this morning. She is reported as having left London on the 28th July, Deal on the 31st, and was off Start Point on the 5th August. She brings a large general cargo and several passengers, whose names we publish below. The Hermione comes consigned to Mr Edward Pearce, and is to load here for London. She beat into port this afternoon, but owing to the late hour she anchored, we are unable to get her report in time for this issue; she had a fine weather passage and reports all well.
