TO CAPTAIN DAVID REID , BARQUE "CONSTANCE,"
FROM LONDON TO WELLINGTON, N Z
                                                      Dec. 12th, 1862

DEAR SIR, - We cannot part without tendering you our best thanks for the order and discipline on-board; and for the uniform kindness we have had from you during the voyage. Head winds have prevented a quick passage, but we hope your return will be attended with all the success you so well deserve.

Through you, we wish to thank the Mates, Mr Marshall and Mr Locke, for their close attention; other officers for efficient service; and the crew for their good conduct.

Accept, Sir, our friendship and best wishes.

Signed by and for all the Cuddy passengers and most in the steerage.
